Step 1: Creating Your 3Commas Account
If you haven’t already, create an account on 3Commas. Secure your account with a strong password and enable two-factor authentication for enhanced security.
Go to ‘My Portfolio’ in 3Commas: Log into your 3Commas account and navigate to the ‘My Portfolio’ section.
Choose Your Exchange: Select your preferred crypto exchange from the list of supported exchanges.
Click ‘Connect’: Find and click the “Connect” button next to your chosen exchange.
Follow On-Screen Instructions: Complete the connection process by following the step-by-step instructions provided by 3Commas.
Step 2: Defining the Main Settings and Selecting Your Exchange
Navigate to Bot Creation: Log into your 3Commas account and go to the bot creation section.
Main Settings: Here, you will set up the core aspects of your bot.
Selecting an Exchange: Choose the exchange you want to use. Ensure that your chosen exchange is already connected to 3Commas.
Bot Type: Select the “Multi Pair” bot type to utilize Helvetic Crypto signals across various trading pairs.
Naming the Bot: Name your bot clearly, such as “Helvetic Crypto Bot”, for ease of identification.
Step 3: Selecting Trading Pairs
Default Recommendation: Helvetic Crypto advises trading all USDT pairs for broader market exposure. You can easily select all USDT pairs using the button “USDT_ALL” in 3Commas.
Customizing Your Selection: If there are specific coins you prefer not to trade, you have the freedom to remove them from your list, tailoring your trading strategy to your comfort level.
Important Note: Handling the “Base Order Size is Too Small” Error
From time to time, you might encounter an error message stating “base order size is too small.” This error occurs when the base order size you have set for your bot is below the minimum required for a specific coin on your chosen exchange. Here’s how to address this issue:
Option 1: Increase Base Order Size:
If this error appears, consider increasing the base order size in your bot settings. This adjustment should meet the minimum order size requirements of more coins.
Option 2: Remove Specific Coins:
Alternatively, you can opt to remove the problematic coin from your trading list. Simply click on the ‘X’ next to the coin’s name in your bot settings to exclude it from your trading strategy.
Currently, there is no direct method to view the minimum base order size for each coin within 3Commas. As a result, identifying the coins causing this error may require a bit of trial and error by clicking through your selected coins.
Why This Matters: Ensuring your base order size meets the minimum requirements is crucial for the smooth operation of your bot. It prevents interruptions in trading activity and ensures your bot can execute trades efficiently.
Step 4: Setting Your Strategy
Max Active Deals and Base Order Size: Customize these based on your trading preferences, using the Helvetic Crypto Safety Factor Calculator for guidance.
Strategy Type: Set to ‘Long’.
Profit Currency: Choose ‘Quote’ (USDT).
Start Order Type: Select ‘Limit’.
Reinvest Profit: This option is not required for our setup.
Step 5: Configuring the Deal Start Condition
Deal Start Condition: Choose ‘Trading View Custom Signal’ to ensure your bot receives Helvetic Crypto signals.
Step 6: Setting Take Profit and Utilizing TSL
Configure your profit strategy as follows:
Fixed Take Profit: Set a fixed take profit (e.g., 5%) to secure early profits. When using this setting, you will also receive Trailing Stop Loss (TSL) signals, which can range from 0 to 5% profit, adding an additional layer of strategy to your trading.
TSL-Only Option: If you prefer relying primarily on TSL, set the take profit percentage very high, like 1000%, so the bot predominantly uses the TSL strategy.
Step 7: Deactivating Stop Loss and Safety Orders
Parameter Settings: Deactivate the Stop Loss and Safety Orders functions to align with Helvetic Crypto’s strategy. Please set parameters as illustrated in the provided image.
Step 8: Saving Bot Settings and Retrieving Bot Information
Save Settings: Once you have configured all settings, click on the green button located on the right side to save your bot settings.
Bot Messages:
Scroll down to the ‘Bot Messages’ section.
Click on ‘Show’ next to ‘Message for deal start signal’.
Retrieve Bot Information: Here, you will find important details such as “bot_id” and “email_token”.
Save Information in Helvetic Crypto Account: Record these details and save them in your Helvetic Crypto user account. This step is crucial for ensuring the proper functioning of your bot with Helvetic Crypto’s trading signals.
Step 9: Integrating Bot with Helvetic Crypto User Account
Insert Bot Information:
Log in to your Helvetic Crypto user account.
Enter the “bot_id” and “email_token” obtained from the 3Commas bot messages section.
Add Base Order Size:
Include the base order size (determined in Step 4 of the bot setup) in your Helvetic Crypto user profile.
Synchronize Changes:
Important Note: If you decide to change the base order size in the future, it’s crucial to update this both in the 3Commas bot settings and in your Helvetic Crypto user profile to maintain consistency and optimal trading performance.
